EVOKE

BIO
Evoke is the brainchild of Alden Groves, who exploded the bass music scene in 2014 with technical genre-blending electronica. Within months of their first release, Groves won remix competitions for Fractal & Savant, topped charts on Beatport and Track-It-Down, and released several of EDM.com's most played songs of all time. Groves demonstrated a vibrant and experimental approach to their music, but it wasn't until their debut EP Neuropop (2015) that the true potential of the Evoke project started to reveal itself, blending 'neurofunk' sound design with indie-pop songwriting and arrangement.
Groves proved to be more than just a skilled producer, excelling as a singer, songwriter, and rapper. With each release, Evoke revealed a fresh perspective. Withdrawal (2016) ventured into indie-electronic territory, showcasing delicate songwriting paired with vibrant, stuttering beats. Future Holds (2017), a collaborative EP with Laura Brehm, merged acoustic folk with lush future-bass soundscapes, and Evoke's second album, FOOL // savior (2019), skillfully blended alt-rock, modern hip-hop, and post-EDM.
2024 promises to be a landmark year for Evoke. With a new single dropping each month, the project is set to showcase a diverse array of styles, blending the familiar with the cutting-edge in both popular and underground music. They also regularly connect with fans on YouTube, sharing their experiences with mental illness, addiction recovery, and the music industry.
